This is the way music SHOULD sound. And their sound on Boston's Symphony Hal is unequaled. It's fun sitting there knowing that where your tush rests hasn't changed for more than a century.

Best value: 2nd balcony, the first 2-3 doors on either side,

Surely a 'must' when you come to Boston...even if you aren't a regular at serious concerts. The 'BSO' usually means for me, the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra in the UK which can be very good; but the Boston 'blend' last night was magnificent. A varied programme of something new and avant-garde (which I thought was excellent) and something more traditional and expected as well. A gtreat evening...and good front row seats in the 2nd Balcony seemed pretty good to me in this lovely Symphony Hall. I don't think there can be a bad seat in the house.

The acoustics were great. I would suggest being more towards the center. We were on the lower level and about 3/4 of the way across and were very pleased. I spoke to several people on the upper balcony and they also thought the sound was great.

One of the finest orchestra's in the nation. Programs are always well thought out and appeal to a wide audience.Symphony Hall itself is worth seeing.
