“Cool bike ride and fun walk”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 18, 2013

We rode our bikes around the pond. Short ride good for families. We took two loops then rode to Arnold Arboretum to get more exercise. I would like to return later in the Spring when more trees will be in bloom.

“For runners”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 21, 2013

Boston's runners crowd the paths along the Charles. If you prefer a solitary run, choose this pond and the surrounding roads. On most days, you'll get your miles in without having to smell any exhaust from traffic.

“It's worth a visit if you are staying nearby”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 15, 2013

The Jamaica Pond is a very nice place, beautiful and calm. If you are nearby, it is worth a visit. It is also close to the Arboretum, so you can make both visits in a row. But it is a place to relax, walk, or run. It doesn't have attractions, entertainment, cultural buildings or places to eat.

“Quiet and calm just beyond downtown Boston”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 30, 2012

Not far from the inner city, Jamaica Pond is an oasis that offers tranquility and a pleasureable location to wide down with family and friends. Good for young children supervised by an adult since the pond is close to walkways. Its the perfect spot for urban dwellers to catch their breath without having to drive out of the city.

Want some great sailing, this is your place. Not far is James Michael Curley's house.
