Description: The Elephant Walk serves Award-Winning Cambodian and French cuisine with extensive vegetarian and gluten-free selections. Cambodian cooking is beautiful and delicious, but still rare in America. Less hot and sweet than Thai, richer and more complex than Vietnamese, the complex spice pastes that are the foundation of many Cambodian dishes reflect Cambodia's Indian ancestry (but use fresh rather than dried spices). Our Cambodian and French selections encompass both traditional and original dishes created by our Chef Nadsa de Monteiro, who was raised in Phnom Penh speaking both Cambodian and French and subsequently lived in France for many years. Our Cambodian-and-French theme is an authentic reflection of our roots!

“Cambodian heaven”
Reviewed June 8, 2013 via mobile

Went with three others, had two different shrimp dishes (special had jumbos) and slow cooked pork . All were simple with clean well defined flavors and large portions. Three different soups as starters, the chicken with fried garlic and rice was the clear winner. Coffee ice cream/choc cake (not even up to Trader Joe standards) dessert was just okay. Spend your $$$ on the fairly priced wine, grab dessert elsewhere.

“wonderful fusion”

A wide variety of delicious French/Asian dishes, moderately priced. The passionfruit tart is to die for. So are the ribs . . .

“Great food”
Reviewed May 28, 2013

I loved the atmosphere of this place: elegant, but not stuffy. The menu, although somewhat overwhelming, offered a great variety of dishes and carefully explained options for different dietary restrictions. My only complaint was the service. It took a very long time for the waitress to come once we were seated, and she was not personable at all. For the price of the food, I would have liked to see excellent service along with delicious food.

“In a minority”
Reviewed May 28, 2013

I had eaten at The Elephant Walk some years ago and was looking forward to making a return visit. The food did not disappoint: the menu is imaginative, the choice wide (including vegetarian and gluten free menus), the cooking well-executed and the ingredients excellent and tasty in their own right. The restaurant is well-managed and both bookings and walk-ins were handled efficiently.
However, the restaurant is in two parts, the larger of which is dark and rather gloomy. Both parts suffer from atrocious acoustics, to the extent that I couldn't hear the person sitting opposite me at a standard table for four. If your idea of a good dining experience has a social dimension to it and you don't like shouting to make yourself heard, you may not be happy at The Elephant Walk. If you are a foodie who can zone out of the noise from other tables, you will probably enjoy a solo meal there.

“A+ all across the board”
Reviewed May 26, 2013

Was in Boston for a small vacation get-away.
Came across this restaurant and sure glad we dined there.
Their food is a French/Cambodian fusion. Wow, the cuisines were absolutely good!
I highly recommend Rouleaux, B'baw, Betteraves salad, and Loc Lac. Yummy-yumm-yumm.
Too bab we live 5 hours away, or we would frequent this place.
A+ all around though. Highly recommended.
Nice ambiance. Pleasant and friendly wait staff.
