we were in the area(washington st) and it was close to lunchtime so we stepped in to look at the menu. the restaurant was very clean & wait staff friendly! when we got the food we were very happy with it. seems a bit empty at first, but lots of take out action, and more arrivals as we ate.
i would not hesitate to go back!

the vegetarian dishes are really tasty. And the portions are meant to be shared as they are large. Good value on the food. for some strange reason, they have a few Korean dishes and italian pasta... maybe that is why it is called Equator

I am a frequent We recently had a wonderful dinner at the Ecuador restaurant in the Boston Back Bay and were so impressed with the quality of the food and the overall restaurant that we have recommended it to many of our friends. It is the best Thai food in the Boston area and so creative in the menu. The orders are large but not at the expense of quality and price and in particular the curried half duck with a choice of curry is outstanding as is the crispy Pad Thai which is unlike any I have ever eaten. The menu is extensive and good value and should meet everyone's taste. .

We were a really large party, 15 people, yet they were able to accommodate us quite quickly. The food was good, not worse and not better than in any other decent Thai place, prices reasonable. Service was prompt and friendly.

With all this, honestly speaking, if you are in the area, you would do better going to the Senegalese place across the street, which is not just good, as Equator, but outstanding.
