Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful!
I could just leave it at that but really I cannot recommend this place highly enough.
A frequent visitor to Boston over the years, this is by far the best - and quirkiest - spot in which I've ever stayed - outstripping the Sheraton, Park Plaza and Hilton by a mile (the other accommodations I've previously used)
Fantastic location, just five mins walk from Faneuil Hall, with spectacular views over the harbour. Our room had windows that faced both onto the city skyline and another facing the sea.
The wooden beam and post cathedral ceilings are stunning and the (spotlessly clean)room was very spacious and came equipped with leather sofa and extremely comfortable bed.

Stayed 6 nights - standard room has a balcony on the 2nd floor - view of the ocean and yachts. Private and quiet only 10 guest rooms, all but one has an ocean view. Located in a wonderful and safe neighborhood, walking distance to the Northend, aquarium and Quincy mkt. Easy subway ride from the airport - or water taxi. No one including locals seem to know this place exists, no tourist traffic on it's wharf. We booked early at cost of $175 per night included all taxes. The yacht haven management and employees are very courteous and friendly. Very special place - if you want something outside of the ordinary and outstanding - you must see it to believe it.

There is only one problem with the Boston Yacht Haven. The place is so inviting and so lovely that you may not want to explore the rest of Boston.

Boston Yacht Haven is a working marina for yachts that come from all over to tie up here. It's located on the end of Commercial Wharf, within a very easy walk of the North End, Columbus Park, and Faneuil Hall / Quincy Market. Though you're close to everything, the nights are quiet enough because, well, you're surrounded mostly by water. (The rest of the wharf area is mostly residential and small offices.)

BYH offers ten spacious guest rooms, most with a sweeping view of the harbor or the city skyline. The rooms are beautiful - our two daughters actually gasped when they walked in. You need to check out the virtual tour at their website (-) to get a sense of the wooden-beam, boathouse feel. Some rooms have decks where you can lounge around and watch yachts come and go after a hard day of touring. Some rooms have mini-fridges, too.

The staff is friendly and I consider the rate I got to be a real value compared to other nice hotels in the area. (Do check for changes during their peak season).

Do yourself a favor before you book that Marriott or Hilton or Hyatt that has the room that could be in any other city. See if Boston Yacht Club has a room, and really enjoy your stay in Beantown.

Right on the water with great views of the harbor and the city. Nice big, clean rooms at a good rate, especially compared to lodging in the area. Staff was pleasant and helpful. Great place!!!

I've lived in Boston for over 10 years and just found out about the Boston Yacht Haven through an online service. These rooms are unreal...spacious and harbor and city views. Nobody knows about this place, which is great because you can always get a room. Parking and in the North End, how can you beat it?
