We had found this place online and there seemed to be some great reviews. So we went in with high expectations, but were left disappointed. I had the 21st Burger, which was just OK. The burger bun on bottom was slightly soggy and the onion rings were not great. My friend ordered a dish with the sweet potato fries, because the reviews we had seen had said they were amazing. They were also just OK. The pub itself is very small, so limited seating options. Given that there are so many restaurants in the area, I would be inclined to recommend you try somewhere else if you are in the market for a good meal. If you are just looking for a drink and a quick bite, maybe this is the place for you.

We took 3 adults and 11 girl scouts in the 5th & 7th grade for lunch after a state house tour. The kids have appetites from mouse to moose and range from picky to adventurous eaters. The adults and kids where very happy with their meals and we fed the whole group for $128 with a gratuity included and had some leftovers. That's a serious bargain in downtown Boston. We choose 6 apps and 6 pizzas for the kids and adults enjoyed a variety of delicious sandwiches with yummy sides. They put us by the fireplace in 3 adjacent tables and it worked perfectly. We went on election day which also had most schools closed so it was quiet and easy to seat such a big group as a walk-in. If you are going to the Public Garden or the State House this is a great spot for a convenient and delicious lunch in an atmosphere with local character.

I had the great pleasure of staying in Boston for a week in September 2012 when on business from the UK. I was with 3 work colleagues, one of whom had spent some time living in Boston and when leading the way for our Thursday night out we started in the 21st Amendment.

What a great place. Atmostphere was good, music was good (mostly British music), service was brilliant and the drinks were flowing well. Sam Adams Oktoberfest was going down a treat.

We indulged in some snacks to keep us going until later. Someone else mentioned the sweet potato fries and whilst I am not a keen fan of sweet potato the fries were pretty good.

Overall, this place was the best bar we were in during our week, although granted a Thursday will be busier and more entertaining than other weekday nights. Highly recommended as a post-work venue to catch up with friends and colleagues.

Just back from a short break in boston. Called into 21st Amendment for a drink on our last full day and wished we had found it sooner. Staff were great, so friendly and cheerful and helped us celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary. We didnt have time to stay long but would definetly recommend them and will definely spend more time there on our next trip to Boston

Unimaginable sweet potato fries. I come here after work for a "Prohibition Sangria" and Sweet Potato fries. The 21st Burger is also delicious.

Go here.
