Of course there's a place in every city to check out the best panoramic views. There's no doubt that this is the place in Boston. I can't recall the ticket price (I remember I thought it was pricey), but it's one of those things you just have to do. Our family of five (including 3 teenagers) was lucky to get a crystal clear day--you could see forever. What's great about the setup is the fact that your price of admission includes a handheld phone-like device for a self-guided tour. Most of the time I'm turned off by fussing around with a gadget to get a boring commentary. However, in this case, you can go around the 360 degree deck and simply type in the number prompt above the window where you happen to be standing, and you get a pretty concise, well-articulated explanation of what you're seeing. If something bores you, switch it off and move on to something else--in other words, you're not tortured by having to go sequentially through all of the narration. This is a panoramic viewpoint that should NOT be missed!
