My wife had planned a Red Sox getaway for the both of us, it being our first time to Fenway Park. We had originally planned to stay at another hotel, but found out that this Residence Inn was opening during the summer of 2013. We quickly booked a stay in early June. Let me say, this place was great. Let me point out the things that stood out to me.
1. Location, location, location: This hotel is literally 2 blocks from Fenway Park. Walk out the front door, turn left and walk to Fenway. That was extremely convenient for us. Plus there are stores, restaurants and a movie theatre in the neighborhood. If flying in to Boston, the hotel is only a 15 min, $25-30 cab ride from the airport.
2. Clean and modern room: I was really impressed with our room. We stayed on the 2nd floor and I took notice of how clean and modern the layout of the room was. Our room has a small kitchen and I liked how the bathroom sink is separated from the shower and toilet (steamed mirrors after a shower can be annoying when trying to get ready & out). The bed was comfy, especially after a night game and the TV had the right size and location in the room.
Our room had a view of the backside of the hotel, but that was great b/c if you have one which faces Brookline Ave traffic can get pretty loud sometimes. we on the other hand heard nothing from the outside and it made for some great sleeping.
3. Friendly staff: They did nothing but help us from the moment we arrived to the last minute that we left. The day staff helped with any questions and services we needed. Friendly staff helps make the stay for first timers in a city more enjoyable.
4. Services: There is a big complementary breakfast, which is a huge help and really good. There is also a lot of seating where the breakfast bar is located. Just be aware of the service times b/c once closing time comes, it's closed. You are also able to buy tickets to ride the Old Time Trolley which you are able to catch on the backside of Fenway. The great thing is that you can use the tickets 2 days in a row, buy for 1 day and use the 2nd day too. The hotel also has a small shop where you can buy snacks, drinks and any travel needs you may have run out of or forgotten.

Like I said before, these were things that stood out to me. I was really impressed with this hotel and would definitely stay here again.

Room Tip: Want to get around Boston w/o taking a cab or train? Ride the trolley. It goes all day until 5pm. Ti...

Stayed here for the night while coming into Boston for a Red Sox game. The hotel is fairly new and it is good to have a very nice hotel right near Fenway. The rooms are large for a Boston hotel and the roof top deck was very nice.

I am a big fan of Marriott. This experience was the worst. Front desk personal great but lounge on 8th floor closed early. The complimentary breakfast was filling but closed early as well.
To top it off the valet dented and scratched my new SUV and denied it.

Wouldn't recommend this hotel until they make some changes.

This location is not only a great location when attending a game, but a great staff that makes a difference. The valet parking staff, to the check in desk, was extremely friendly and willing to go the extra mile to make your stay special. I am a platinum member of Marriott and I have found no better staff from top to bottom. It is clear that they are trying to make an impression and are doing a TERRIFIC JOB doing so. I highly recommend this location for the business traveler or family.

I stayed at the Residence Inn last night using my Marriott rewards points. The staff was friendly and provided me with a good recommendation for a late-night dinner. I was impressed by the size of my room which included a small living room with couch and desk. I even had a little kitchenette! While I did not visit Fenway during my trip, the location is a good one and was conveniently located to South Station (where I arrived from NYC). I took advantage of the fitness center on the 8th floor which had 1 non-working treadmill, but was otherwise in great condition.

I was very sad to leave this morning.

Loved this hotel. The rooms are big and comfortable, there is a lovely deck on the top floor to have your favorite beverage and check out Fenway, and the staff is very friendly. We were here to catch a Red Sox game and explore Boston and this was a great location. We had a car, but you really don't need one- the T could have gotten us around easily. Valet parking is steep but we got the car quick each time we needed it. Near the hotel are bars, places to eat, a movie theater and a Starbucks. I would stay here again. The rooms were clean and come with a full kitchen. I have always liked Residence Inns and this new design is terrific.

We stayed here over a weekend. The proximity to Fenway Park can not be beat. There are many restaurants nearby and a transit/subway stop is also a short walk. The service was grea as well as the breakfast. Being so new, the rooms were impeccable. The rooftop deck and pool was top rate.
