In my admittedly limited experience, this is the best soon doo boo (hot tofu stew) I've found in Boston. It is comparable to the best I could find in five years of exploring Annandale Virginia, which is a sizable Koreatown in the DC metropolitan area. Which is to say, it's good. The seafood pancakes I've had there have been so-so. My recommendation would be to stick to the soon doo boo, especially considering the banchan (side dishes) they give you to accompany whatever you order- it's plenty of food.

It can be crowded in the evenings, and they don't take reservations, so expect a wait if you arrive there between 6:30pm and 8:30pm.

Boston is not short on Korean restaurants but this new place is the best one I've tried. The line can get long on the weekend but it is worth it. They start you off with delicious barely tea and keep refilling your cup all night long. Soft tofu dishes are served boiling hot with rice on the side and a raw egg to stir in. They also bring sides/appetizers included in the price of the meal. So much food, so much deliciousness. I ordered mine medium spicy but will probably order it spicy next time for more heat.

Been here twice since it opened and wow do I love this place. I've never been to Korea but I've spent a ton of time in Japan and it reminds me a lot of a restaurant there; buttons on the table to call over the waitstaff, you sign yourself in on a list (no host or hostess), etc.

The food is absolutely delicious and very reasonably priced for Allston korean food (which I've noticed skews a bit expensive), and wow does it hit the spot. Different tofu stews served with rice and banchan, ordered to your degree of spiciness. Comes with a raw egg you crack into the near-boiling soup so it cooks all up in it! Absolutely awesome. Highly recommend it!

No alcohol - I hope that gets rectified soon!
