Those who had sushi said it was very good, plus there are lots of non-sushi options that were also good. Good for take-out, but the one time we ate at the restaurant the service was super slow. I believe Village Sushi is owned by the same people as JP Seafood Cafe, which also gets good reviews.

Definitely worth checking out if you're in the mood for sushi (or even if you aren't).

After a recent trip to Tokyo, I was in the mood for really good sushi close to home. I've been to Village Sushi several times before, and it was always good but not great. This time was the best, not just for this restaurant but among the best sushi I've had in Boston, and close to that superb Midori sushi I loved so much in Japan.

I had the Sushi Deluxe, a chef's selection with 15 pieces of nigiri sushi for $22. In a dish like this, I usually expect to love 5-6 pieces, and like the rest to a varying degree. This time I lost count of the pieces that were superb: tasty, perfect texture and freshness, just delicious.

Last month I went to another sushi restaurant, highly reviewed, in Cambridge. I ended up paying much more and getting less in food quantity and satisfaction. I wish I had gone here instead. Village Sushi has been in business for quite a few years. It remains busy and popular, and deservedly so.

I'm not a huge fish fan, so I was happy that Village Sushi & Grill had some tasty non-fish sushi options. The sweet potato tempura sushi is amazing! Highly recommend it! My husband's favorite is the "Heart Attack Sushi" - it's topped with jalapenos! If you're in Rozzie Village, definitely check this place out.

This is a fantastic sushi restaurant with nice atmosphere for a good price. Try the wildfire handrolled maki -- delicious! We go all the time and get ebi shumai, a pot of hot saki, sushi-sashimi combo, and maybe another exotic roll.
