“Red Sox Outing”
Reviewed September 5, 2013

This restaurant is so close to Fenway you could catch a foul ball if you were outside. This was a great place to eat, food was very good. We went here for a pre-game lunch (all 11 of us) got in immediately as we went around 2:30 before a 7:10 game. Service was very good our waitress was great had a good sense of humor and to keep smiling with our group is a challenge..

“Great place right outside Fenway”
Reviewed September 4, 2013

We left the game in the 8th inning to get in before the rush. The beer selection was awesome the watermelon didn't taste like watermelon but the rest of the beer was great. Most of us had the burger which was really good. Definitely got crowded after the game finished.

“Delish! Great service”
Reviewed September 1, 2013

We just went to Boston for a Red Sox game and decided to eat here. I had eaten there years ago and enjoyed our meal. We went mid afternoon -missed the lunch, pregame and the dinner rushes (barely). The hostess seemed confused when I told her we were a party of 11 ...but we got seated quickly. Alex and Alexis were our servers and they were great. Food was delicious, beer was plentiful. Can't go wrong. I had the salmon, my aunt had the turkey medallions and everyone else had burgers...no complants on the food at all. Would definitely recommend and would positively go again.

“Perfect before a Sox game”
Reviewed August 31, 2013

My wife and I went here before a Friday night Red Sox game. We got in rather early, which was a good thing. Game time was 7:10 and we entered the restaurant around 4:15. There was no wait. Our server "team" was pretty good throughout our time here, only a little slow in getting back to us to place our order. The place soon got very busy, I'd say around 5:00. People are packed into every available space. It gets quite noisy, so this is not the place to be if you want a quiet meal before a Sox game. Our food was very good. I ordered the haddock sandwich and it was very good. The haddock was done properly without excess breading. The tartar sauce was a little off - too thick with too much mayo. My wife ordered the salmon "burger", which she loved. It had garlic and scallions in it, along with (optional) sweet potato fries on the side with a mysterious-but-tasty dipping sauce which had some dill in it. The house-made beers are excellent. They do not serve hard liquor or any beers they don't make themselves, but they do serve wine. My wife loved both the watermelon and blueberry beers. They are both lighter beers, served with fruit garnish. I enjoyed their darker beers, namely the Irish stout and the Beantown Nut Brown Ale. Both were excellent but the brown ale was truly exceptional. To wrap things up - if you like great beer, go here. If you like good food, go here. If you don't mind crowds before games - go here but get in early.

“Good food, great beer!”
Reviewed August 30, 2013 via mobile

Forget the watermelon beer, try the red or order a flight and try 4 different brews.

Not bad food and beer. Great service!

Get in early when ball games are being played or go a night when no games are on.
