From the Embassy Suites, it is a short walk to the restaurant. At lunch, we took a walk to confirm it is walkable from the hotel and saw a worker outside. He opened the door, thinking we were entering but told him we would be back for dinner.
We ordered a mushroom pizza as well as a half carafe of the house red wine. I didn't realize that this location did not have salads (due to space issues, as told to us by the employee we met at lunchtime). The pizza was enough for the two of us....it was very flavorful but a bit overcooked as the crust completely crumbled.
The restaurant has been around for over a 100 years and makes a good pizza, just not my favorite. The website indicates Santarpio's has the best pizza according to Boston Magazine. We have tried Frank Pepe's and Tripoli as well. Of those, I prefer Tripoli (maybe growing up in the area, I like it better, but the crust has a bit of chewiness in the center, how we like it).
