“Great service, Great good”
Reviewed March 16, 2013

We were seated right away. Love that. Server was courteous. Our rice ball app. Was cold in the middle. Server was apologetic and with no fuss or muss had it reordered and a round of drinks for my husband and I. I had a special that was fantastic and both my husband and daughter enjoyed their meals. We never waited for a thing . Service us key for me. Fabulous

“You can not go wrong”
Reviewed March 14, 2013

This is a quaint restaurant off the beaten path, yet still within the heart of the North End. They make great use of their cozy space so you don't feel crowded. We all enjoyed our appetizers and meals, overall the food was excellent. Served fresh literally from their "home kitchen". Service was very good, orders served quickly with somewhat of a team approach, never made us feel rushed. Even though some may consider the menu a little bit on the limited side, they were most accommodating to any special requests. And to top it all off felt the prices were very reasonable. Looking forward to going back again.

“Authentic and where the locals go”
Reviewed March 2, 2013

My favorite place for dinner in the North End of Boston. Many of the long time North End locals I know will go here. It is off the main drag so less of the tourist vibe. Food is great, you've got to try the ravioli appetizer. So good. Service can be a little slow if you are looking for a quick in and out, but they aren't pushing you out the door so I find that to be a more enjoyable evening. One con is the wine list is a bit limited, but a small price to pay.

“Can't beat the quality and price”
Reviewed February 19, 2013

Had dinner on Sunday night. We had 8 of us and everyone thoroughly enjoyed their food. The service while not superior was very good and friendly. The food was superior. We shared three appetizers: Calamari - Stuffed mushrooms and Bruschetta. All were well made and fresh. The entrees were similarly excellent. We all ordered different dishes and all were very pleased. I had the veal parm which was excellent. All was well prepared and very home tasting. The prices are excellent for the North End with Apps around $7 and entrees around $16 for the pasta type dishes. Wine was also reasonably priced. The ambiance is so so, and it is loud, but a great place for a great meal, especially with a family.

“Great Italian off the main tourist route”
Reviewed January 26, 2013

I've been coming back here multiple times since 2003, following an original recommendation from a concierge.

Decor is pretty dull/basic and there's not a lot of fanfare to the menu or wine list. But the service is great and helpful, and if you want something specially ordered, they'll figure out how to make it happen. Always good to try any of the new specials not on menu, and the freshly made pasta is great. Great appetizer to ask for, if not on menu, is calamari/octopus salad served cool/cold but delicious.

Food has been consistently good and not paying the inflated prices if you go to a restaurant directly on Hanover.
