“You only live once!”
Reviewed February 19, 2013

Mike's is the best pastry shop I have ever been to - period! The large selection of traditional (canolis) and non-traditional (lobster tails) Italian pastries is as impressive as it is delicious. Don't miss the Canolis or the Lobster Tail! Also, the Eclair's are terrific! Don't be intimidated by the crowds - they are there for a reason (the same reason as you) - to secure a box full of delicious pastries!

“Good place for pastries”
Reviewed February 19, 2013

Extensive pastry shop. FANTASTIC chocolate cupcake with chocolate frosting. Black and white cookies were yummy. A Hanover St. option to Modern depending on whose line is longest! Enjoy!

“Try a chocolate covered profiterole”
Reviewed February 17, 2013

I am not a big cannoli fan so I won't comment on Mike's. I suggest trying the baseball sized chocolate covered profiterole! Huge and delicious! Filled with a cream concoction that was light and delicious.

“A Real Treat”
Reviewed February 17, 2013

I had a friend take me to Mike's after dinner in the North End and ever since whenever I have a group in Boston this is a must stop for me. The decor is neat, the staff is efficient and there is an order to the chaos. The cannolis are delicious and the "Lobster Tail" is the best. There has to be something there judging from all the twine secured blue and white boxes you see being carried on Hanover Street.
