Arrived here with two friends on a mild, late afternoon on thanks-giving-weekend. We had chosen to try the place based on the trip advisor reviews.

No reservation, No leaving of names, No coffee and dessert! Appetizers and entrees only!

30 Places only! Open all afternoon from lunch to dinner! Great for seafood!

You have to wait in line! The people in front of us had two relatively young kids and were able to do it as the kids were really well behaved and occasionally went for a walk with one parent.

The line down to the corner of the block means about a 45min - 1 hour wait.

Once inside you are not rushed, but they obviously turn the restaurant over rapidly and efficiently.

Service is extremely competent. they have an assortment of seafood dishes with a choice of sauces and pastas. few options for other dishes!

Essentially it works like this: choose an appetizer, choose your fish, choose your pasta, choose your sauce. order from a selection of red and white wines all for 17$ so choose your favorite grape.

enjoy!

Its great and worth the wait if its not to cold!

Located in the North end, this place is always popular, with a line outside, it seems.

While they do not take reservations, credit cards or serve coffee or dessert, these are minor issues more than made up for by the excellent freshly prepared food. Prices are reasonable, and many wine prices by the bottle are under $20 - we paid $16. Actually a much better value than the very limited by-the-glass selection.

Small and crowed, expect to share your experience with another couple who is sitting right next to you, which added to the fun both times we were there early in Thanksgiving week. (Yes we went back a second night of the 3 nights we were in the city - it was than enjoyable.)

Got there early and stood in line for a bit but it was worth it to get seated as soon as the restaurant opened. The space is small, the wait staff is sometimes brusk but that is all a part of the experience. Most importantly, the food is fabulous and fresh.

Read some of the out of towners reviews on this site. But this is the north end of Boston long lines abound, cash only is a staple (Mike's pastry, etc), small bustling cozy restaurants are what you come here for. Food is reasonably priced and excellent. Calamari is tender, sweet and the fried jalapeños spice it up. Squash ravioli is the best!!! No dessert, no coffe, but hey it's the north end and you can get dessert and coffee elsewhere.

No coffee, no desert,no reservations, cash only, wait in line outside!!!!!!! BUT DO IT. The best Italian food, Great service. Our favorite restaurant when in Boston. Sit at the only two seats at the bar if you can...great seats. also, you'll feel like family here.
