We went to the original local in the North End. This place was a zoo when we went. We waited in line outside the door to get in and boy was it worth the wait! We were sat at a group table (with strangers), met some lovely single serving friends who are locals to the area. The manager runs a tight ship with a friendly and welcoming east coast vibe. They made us feel like family!

The pizza was the best I have had in years. The crust was doughy with a crispy bottom and the perfect amount of brown/black from the oven. Perfect and delicious. Great Boston experience. F you like east coast style pizza, Regina delivers!

We were in Portland Maine on business and decided to take the Downeaster to Boston for the day. We had two reasons for going to Boston: 1 to pay tribute to those that were killed or hurt in the bombings and 2 to go to Regina Pizzeria North End, neither disappointed! This was our second trip to the restraurant in 5 years. We walked in and were greeted like we were regulars. The bartender and waitresses were fantastic and friendly, and the pizza.......WOW. A trip to Bostson without stopping here is a mistake. Just writting this is making me want to hop a plane to Boston.

My sister and I were in town for a wedding and this place was recommended to us by someone who had visited Boston recently. We had walked many many miles and were ready for a much needed dinner break. When we arrived, I knew it was going to be a good choice. We were there a little late, so I think we missed the dinner crowd. The first thing we heard when we walked through the door, " How many is yous?" in a thick Boston accent. We were sat immediately and the service was quick. The pizza was just as expected. Hot, cheesy, greasy, amazing! For someone from the south, I thought this was a unique Boston experience with amazing food. Would definitely recommend o anyone looking for good pizza in the area!

This place is an institution and worth a stop if you're in the North End for lunch. The hostess at first seems classically New England gruff, but does it with a smile and the best intentions. The waitstaff are screaming, hand-talking Italians with odd Boston-Italian accents. The primary bartender, a tall guy with snowy hair and beard, can talk hockey for days on end if you let him. In a strange way, it's easy to feel like family by your second visit.

The pizza is, without a doubt, one of the best in Boston. The ultimate #1 is, of course, open to debate, but what cannot be argued is that Regina isn't in the top two or three.

As far as what to order, a great place to start is with just a regular pizza and some oil (at the table). With a place that nails the basics like this, there's really no need to get fancy with toppings.

Worth noting is that 1) The five stars are strictly for the pizza, and 2) a line typically forms on nice days, cloudy days, warm days, cold days, or days that end in y, so it's best to go at off-hours.

Only the original North End place is where we go. Odd seating, fantastic waitresses, in and out quick pizza of every variety there is nothing to compare. I always send folks visiting Boston here for pizza.

It's hit or miss on the wait but they've got the process down to a science.
