The original Pizzeria Regina is in the North End. This is the one you want. A truly old fashioned pizzeria with the old wooden booths and jukebox. And the pizza is amazing--thin crust.

Regina's is a Boston institution. The pizza really is the best in Boston. A couple of favorites: pesto chicken, sausage, and of can't go wrong with classic cheese.
Service can be a bit snappy but it's just classic Boston attitude- nothing to keep me away. Other times they are really nice, so you never know.

It gets pretty busy on weekend nights so just be prepared to wait. And when we order take-out, if we call on the way over, it's ready when we get there (they quote 30 mins but more often than that it's ready before then).

And I have never tried one of the Regina's outside of the North End but I've heard they're not as good (maybe 4 stars instead of 5 but I wouldn't risk it).

Prices aren't bad, we got a small chicken pesto and large sausage the other night and it was about $30 and was more than enough for three people (cheaper than The Upper Crust).

Bottom line- if you're in Boston, you need to try Regina's. And don't forget the oil to dip your crusts in!
