I visited here last year with my wife for her birthday with a group of friends. The space is almost in a basement off busy Bolyston/Newberry St in Boston and was well received by many people we knew claiming it was great food. There arent many Mexican restaurants that are good in Boston so we had to try it. The Sangria was very good but came in smaller decanters at a steep price. The food was just okay for the prices. It had a good taste and was authentic but didn't blow me away. There are places on the outskirts of te city that are just as good and less of a price than this. The waitstaff was slow and unresponsive and the place was a bit cramped. The setting is quaint and romatic, but can be loud. I think I would decline on going back to this spot. I found a few other places that are less trendy that have better tasting food.
great atmosphere and underground ambiance. food is nice and sangria even better.
First you feel like you are in Europe as it is tucked away in an alley around a corner in Back Bay ...then it feels like you stepped right into Mexico. Great romantic ambiance, mexican music and great food at fairly reasonable prices for Back Bay. Love it - highly recommended.
