Back in Boston, where I lived for 8 years a long time ago, I ate for a second time at L'Espalier. This time I felt somewhat turned off by their strict cancellation policy. even though it is a somewhat small restaurant. Imagine my surprise when they most pleasantly rescheduled my table for 4 to a subsequent evening. There was something cool about entering a small vestibule to an elevator into a dining area without tables being crowded together.
