“The Best Italian Food in Boston”
Reviewed July 24, 2013

The bellman Peter from The Lenox Hotel recommend Saraceno Italian Restr. for us. This was the best Italian food we had in North Boston. We were greeted by the owner and had a table for two up front with a view. Our server Maria is Italian and her recommendations were perfect. Everything is true Italian homemade pasta and sauce. You can have seafood added to any dish. They have a good wine selection. Chef specials. They truly want their customers to be happy with the entrees. The owner knows how to run a real Italian Restr. Don't change a thing. Don't miss this restr. Romantic and good for friends too. In fact, we made new friends while having dinner at Saraceno.

“'Terrific Sea Food'”
Reviewed July 18, 2013

Some say the Neapolitans cook the best Italian food, this time they were right. The Zuppa Di Pesce was one of the best dishes I have ever had. It was fresh and seasoned perfectly. Great atmosphere and very reasonable in price. One tip... don't buy wine by the glass, it's much cheaper by the bottle. If you are on the North side you need to eat here.

“Best Fried Calamari I've ever had!”
Reviewed July 16, 2013

As with many others we just happened to pick this place. We were tired and hot and just wanted to sit down and eat! Everyone was amazed at the quality of the food even the two teenagers. It was a wonderful experience to be able to have authentic Italian food.

“Lunch Special worth stopping for!”
Reviewed July 11, 2013

Always overwhelmed by the choices on Hanover and nearby streets. This small place seemed to be packed with locals, which was a good sign. I had the penne amatriciana (red sauce with pancetta/bacon and onions) and my friend had the shrimp and scallops over pasta (forget which sauce). Mine was good -- and hers was delicious, especially the scallops!!

Service was a bit silent and the older man was kind of surly, but for what we paid for a caprese salad and two good-sized entrees at lunch, I can deal with that. They even gave us a second basket of bread when we asked for a piece to scoop up the sauce at the end of the meal.

The open windows made for a very pleasant atmosphere.

I will be paying more attention to this place on future visits to the North End.

Cannolis at Modern Pastry are also highly recommended. If you are full from your dinner, get them to go and have them when you get home!

“Open Windows, Ambiance of Italy”
Reviewed July 10, 2013

The service was excellent. There were three of us. Jim enjoyed the escargot as an appetizer. The veal piccata melted in my mouth. Very reasonably price for the dining experience. After dinner walked through the North End.
