Took the airport bus (22 or 33) to the subway station, the blue line from the airport to aquarium, $2. Walked 10 minutes to Hanover Street. Asked resident for Italian restaurant recommendation and he suggested Ristorante Saraceno. On Wednesday night, walked in and sat on first level by window. Tablecloths, crusty Italian bread, olive oil, fresh Parmesan cheese, reserved mature waiter, tacky wall and ceiling paintings, arguments and ogling babies in Italian and Boston dialects, opera music overhead. I had the cioppino, an amazing slightly spicy seafood stew with ½ small lobster, littleneck clams, scallops, calamari, and mussels. A colleague had the seafood diavolo on special, a similar dish with smaller portions. Cappuccino was watery, and desert involved walking to Mike’s pastry, a few doors down the street to the left for a superb cannoli, a deep fried tube filled with sweet ricotta cheese mixture. Taxi back to the airport for $14. Round trip 1 1/2 hours at a very leisurely pace. Met another traveler who went to the Saraceno’s based on her hotel’s recommendation, and she was very pleased.

P.S. Cannoli's made it through TSA airport security.

This was recommended to me by a man who knew the owner, and he was certainly right- I loved the Bolognese sauce!
