Enjoyed a lovely romantic evening, ordering the chefs choice for our meal along with a bottle of Montepulciano. Romantic environment with a cozy feel and open windows on the 2nd floor. Great service, without being intrusive including a nice visit by the owner. Only downside was a loud large party, but we were seated at the other end of the restaurant, so it was minimally distracting.

Thank Katie M

Small intimate restaurant and the owner is very hands on. We enjoyed a cocktail a wonderful appetizer and then as the place filled up the noise level became unbearable. There was not just talk it was a loud roar. A group of six women started it all by talking loud, laughing loud and just being obnoxious! We finally asked the owner if we could cancel our order which he graciously allowed us to do. We explained we just could not tolerate the noise. We asked when we could return to a more quiet atmosphere so he said come back Sunday or Monday which we will do. The food that we had was quite wonderful. Why do Americans have to be so loud when they dine out? We need to take a lesson from Europeans who are more civil when they dine. Perhaps a note on the table suggesting low noise level is requested and that you be polite??

Would have been over the top Excellent except for the Maitre D / owner?? who was quite nasty!! There was a mix up in communication, as we tried to increase the # of guests. Instead of being pleasant about our error or his, he swore we were wrong!! The noise level is also quite loud, which we knew in advance. Burt, the food & prix fixe was w/ wine pairing was good value & yummy!!

First time to Aria and I was very impressed. In the North End, you get a lot of the same menu items, but it seemed that the Aria menu was somewhat different. I had the Porchetta, their signature dish and it was delightful. A LOT of food.

You can't miss with Aria.

I'm a little hesitant to write this because I don't want everyone to start booking reservations and we'll never be able to get a table! However, I can't help but write how amazing our experience was at Aria. It's so difficult to find an Italian restaurant with AUTHENTIC Italian flavors, an incredible wine list and a waitstaff that works together so seamlessly, you barely know they're serving you or clearing your plates. Six of us took the "Fare Un Viaggio" which is a "Voyage Through Italy" where the chef serves you what he thinks you'll like best. He was correct at every turn and we were thrilled with his choices. From seating to service to ambiance to food, Aria Trattoria is #1 in our destination restaurant book (and we live 200+ miles away). A definite gem in the North End.
