“Best Italian food”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 8, 2013 via mobile

Omg such good food! R u kidding me?! Was about to go to Neptune but got turned down because there was a 2 hr wait list. The pizza at antico is the best! Crust is like naan bread, fused with flavor of the toppings. Not greasy, just the right amount of cheese. Best pizza I've had! I also ordered scallop and shrimp linguini, comparable to the best pasta I had in Rome Italy. The scallop is big and prawns are good size. Very fresh ingredients. The bread comes with this dip made of cherry tomato, olive oil, garlic etc, such good dip! Tiramisu is a 9/10, perfect combo of expresso, cocoa and very slight alcohol. Mouth watering!! Must visit!

“Only average”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 23, 2013

Looking for a place to get a quick bite for lunch we came in here. Both had pizza and it was ok, good crust but a bit bland. Plus some of the waiting staff a bit rude, saying please and thank you would be a good start...

“Delicious, classic Southern Italian cooking at very affordable prices”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 21, 2013

This small restaurant offers its regular menu plus features of the month, which in February offered as appetizers, arancini, meatballs, and other items, as well as several classic pasta dishes.

Service was excellent and the food was delicious and great value at lunch. We ordered Involtini di Melanzane, eggplant rolls filled with ricotta and topped with a tomato sauce. That was an appetizer but was a very generous serving and served as my lunch. My husband ordered one of his favorites, Penne alla Boscaiola, with peas, prosciutto, and mushrooms in a tomato sauce.

We finished this course with a shared serving of tiramisu.

A most delicious lunch and we will return on our next trip to Boston.

“Perfect Italian in the North End”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 17, 2013 via mobile

Classic Italian, but with a little something more. As a vegetarian I was drawn here by a menu option beyond eggplant parm and gnocchi (not that those aren't great options). I was delighted to find a lasagne primavera special for under $20 tonight!

We loved the bread and olive oil, shared the mixto verde, and ordered the saltimabocca and lasagne. We had a glass of wine ($10) and a beer ($4.50); no desert. Our bill came to $65.

The place was packed. 8pm reservations seemed ideal because it was crowded when we came in, but no one was pushing us out by the time we finished eating. Service was fast and attentive. The food was delicious. The atmosphere was warm and bustling, but you could have a conversation for two.

Glad we went here tonight!
