Barbara Lynch owns several restaurant establishments in Boston proper and B&G happens to be one of our favorites. Its location is superb, right on Tremont Street across from the theater, local shops and action in the South End. If you want an authentic neighborhood experience in a trendy part of town, visit B&G. The Butcher Shop is across the street, which happens to be Barbara’s sister restaurant, which is also very good. B&G always provided a great experience with superb fresh oysters and a great selection to choose from. The wait staff is highly knowledge about the oyster selection and wine paring. We shared a dozen oysters from PEI, Kumamoto, Wellfleet, and NJ, their signature lobster and fried clam roll were outstanding. Wasn't blown away by the salads but everything else was delicious!
