“Delicious, knowledgeable wait staff, fresh diverse oyster selection!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 2, 2012

Barbara Lynch owns several restaurant establishments in Boston proper and B&G happens to be one of our favorites. Its location is superb, right on Tremont Street across from the theater, local shops and action in the South End. If you want an authentic neighborhood experience in a trendy part of town, visit B&G. The Butcher Shop is across the street, which happens to be Barbara’s sister restaurant, which is also very good. B&G always provided a great experience with superb fresh oysters and a great selection to choose from. The wait staff is highly knowledge about the oyster selection and wine paring. We shared a dozen oysters from PEI, Kumamoto, Wellfleet, and NJ, their signature lobster and fried clam roll were outstanding. Wasn't blown away by the salads but everything else was delicious!

“Get the BLT Lobster Roll in the patio area”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 18, 2012

If you go on a nice spring or summer day and can get a seat outside for lunch this place is tough to beat in Boston. We loved the asparagus salad and mushroom gnocchi (vegitarian style). However I had a BLT with lobster that was to die for. This is a Boston must try!

“LOVED this place and now I'm in for the Oyster Passport challenge :)”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 23, 2012

Cute spot - right on Tremont. Very intimate, and open. LOVELY wine list and my friend and I definitely took advantage of the Oyster passport challenge. Basically, this passport lists all the types of oysters that come into the restaurant, and we get stamps for those we've ordered. We loved the selection and great wine pairing recommendation by our waiter. We'll definitely be back for more stamps. :)
