“Great spot for brunch!”
Reviewed May 26, 2014 via mobile

Always a great spot for brunch when walking around the South End. Reservations are recommended. I've never had anything that disappointed. The Croque Madame is always delish and so is the Salad Nicoise and the Eggs Benedict. Bloody Mary's are tasty here and goes down easily so pace yourself.
Bon Apetit!

“French fare, helpful service, cozy environment”
Reviewed May 13, 2014

Fun and cozy restaurant. Was here to celebrate a friend's birthday. The staff knew that it was a surprise party for the individual and helped make arrangements for the "surprise". The rest of the evening flowed perfectly. The waitress was knowledgeable about all items and suggested wine pairings that were well coordinated. She was always helpful, polished, and never pushy. I had the duck and it was prepared flawlessly. The environment is busy and interesting enough to enjoy looking around, yet you are able to feel a nice sense of privacy. Being a pretty casual person normally, I consider this a place to go for nicer occasions. That said, many in my party make it a regular part of their dining out experiences. I will definitely return!

“Superb food and Dining experience”
Reviewed May 11, 2014

What a gem! Saw this as having drinks on Tremont on Friday night and asked to book for Sat evening. Was fitted in and so glad we asked to book. Really busy on the evening, great venue, lots if atmosphere but also felt quite private too. Friendly staff but not pushy or rushing bringing out the courses when asked for a break. Portions big enough but not over the top like many servings in restaurants in US. Superb food, couldn't fault it and presented fantastically. Shame we are now leaving Boston as would come here again. We ate from 8pm but they do a great value early bird too, think it was form 5.30-6.30pm settings. If you like French food done well come her. Sort if restaurant you can dress up in evening but lots of people wearing casual clothes too. Pricing, my boeuf en cocotte starter was about 13 dollars and vegetarian main 22 dollars. My partners shrimp bisque starter about 10 dollars and sea bass main around 25 dollars. Not sure how this compares to other restaurants but we felt end cost of bill, with 2 starters, 2 mains and shared one dessert (no room for one each) with cocktail, bottle of wine, dessert wine was really good value at 175 dollars.

“Excellent food with gracious service”
Reviewed April 7, 2014

I usually dine here to celebrate special, occasions, and they never fail to graciously greet me with a "happy birthday" or whatever occasion it is. I had the pork chop yesterday and as usual, it was delectable. The other person had the sea bass, also uniquely flavored and superb. Their wine list had a perfectly acceptable Chardonnay at only $10 a glass. Jon, our waiter,,who has been there for 14 years is outstanding.
