Despite the hype and accolades surrounding this restaurant, their Restaurant Week food was atrocious. I'm sure their normal food is better, but I'm never going back.

“Pretentious and Expensive”
Reviewed January 12, 2008

Just finished a truly mediocre meal here. It's a nice space but we were jammed in next to two other couples almost knee to knee - we all shared each others conversations. This I could take if the food compensated - but it did not. I started with French onion soup which was adequate. My main course was chump lamb chops with chick pea frites and zuchini (or couregettes to you and me). The chops were skimpy and inadequate, the chick pea frites were truly peculiar (why did they taste of aniseed?) and only semi-edible, and the zuchini was raw, vinegary and inedible. The wine list was precious and expensive. I had a Saint Joseph for $61 dollars which was fine but I hate to pay that much for a middle-of-the road wine. In short this restaurant was a shoddy and pretentious imitation of a French restaurant and could only appeal to posers.
