“Cute busy diner”
Reviewed May 7, 2013

This is the kind of place a visitor with no knowledge of the area would easily miss. But if you do find it then it's more than worth a visit. You might have to wait a while but a fabulous brunch awaits you.

“Great food!”
Reviewed May 4, 2013 via mobile

We loved this place and went back to it every day of our visit. Here is my 9 year old's review: The food was delicious. It was very crowded but we always had space to sit. A suggested meal would be the buttermilk pancakes. The line was really long but it was worth the wait. The Paramount isnt the place for someone looking for a fancy restaurant. They made food freshly so you can watch them cook. You have to order and pay before you find a table because they have a seating policy. We had a great breakfast at the Paramount, I would suggest this place to people who enjoy a good meal but crowded and not too fancy.

“Good but noisy and very dark”
Reviewed May 2, 2013 via mobile

The place is very well known and we felt lucky to find a table for four. A warm welcome and a quick service. The food was good, not great but nicely prepared (pad thai noodles) and very abudant indeed (we left with two boxes full of noodles).
Two problems as far as I am concerned: in the evening, the place is really dark,a candle might be very romantic but I had difficulties to see my plate and felt like a blind man eating, which is not very pleasant. The second point was the noise: very loud and this quite impossible to have a normal conversation at your table. A pity.

“SuperCool Restaurant”
Reviewed April 29, 2013

This is in beautiful, scenic Beacon Hill. You can stop in for a leisurely dinner and it won't break the bank. Service is great, food is cooked to order and ambiance is very Beacon Hill. I had the Taco appetizer which is actually too much food. The bread and cilantro hummus is just wonderful. Wine is great too. Try it.

“Very disappointed at lunchtime”
Reviewed April 27, 2013

This has been a family favorite breakfast destination, and is a Boston classic. My wife and I went to Paramount for lunch after a stroll through the Public Garden, and were very disappointed.

The normally friendly staff was grumpy. Even though empty, food prep was surprisingly slow...especially compared to busy breakfast times. One order apparently got picked up by someone else and I had to wait a while for mine.

We are hoping that breakfast will be a return to what we remember enjoying so much!!
