The title of this review is saying something, given the number of italian restaurants in the North End. However, Teatro offers fantastic food, a totally unique atmosphere and great location. We went there before a show at the nearby Colonial theater. At 5:30 on a Sunday, the place was packed, but we were seated within 30 seconds of arriving. (we made reservations about an hour before). The house Cabernet was fantastic, and it was poured correctly. So many restaurants merely bring the wine out in a glass. The extra attention to detail didn't stop there. The menu is delightfully diverse. We had fried zucchini as an appetizer, and it was fresh, hot and tasty. I had the Orecchiette with Spicy Sausage, Broccoli Rabe & Garlic and it was the best meal I had in all of Boston. The Vanilla Bean Panna Cotta with Local Strawberries was DIVINE. The staff was professional, the atmosphere totally unique, and we were in and out in about an hour, right on time for our show. We recommended this to some other visitors to Boston, and saw them the next day - they totally agreed with us. Don't miss it!
