We ordered the wild mushroom risotto (great!) and the orrechetti with homemade sausage and broccoli rabe (wow!), accompanied by braised baby Brussels sprouts (great!). Service was exceptional, wine prices very, very reasonable. Attractive interior- packed to the walls with happy diners.
Service flawless and warm. Just a great find! Pasta was far better than the pasta we had the prior evening at the Four Seasons. Says a lot, doesn't it? Go! What are you waiting for?

Though I am a Boston resident, this week was the first time that I dined at Teatro. I was struck my friendly and courteous all of the staff was, from the valet greeting people at the door to our wonderful server. The food was incredibly fresh and hit the spot before we headed over to the Colonial Theater for a concert. Great ambiance too!

This is an excellent pre theatre spot but be sure to make reservations. The food was excellent. My husband had a wonderful pork tenderloin dinner and I had great homemade tortoloni. The wines were nice and not overpriced, the bread was GREAT and we had a fabulous dark but not overly rich chocolate cake with homemade vanilla gelato. The wait staff was excellent. The only complaint is that, like so many city restaurants, it is VERY noisy - almost to the point that we couldn't talk. The tables are very close together which makes it worse. But it is the city and the place is small so it's understandable but still not as pleasant an experience as the food warrants.

Apps, bread, mains all very good. Both the beet and arugala salads are excellent. Pasta very good.

Service attentive despite the frenetic atmosphere. Highly recommended and I will be returning.

Our concierge recommended this place based on us asking for a restaurant that was modern, lively with a good atmosphere and great Italian food. We got it all with this restaurant. The food was well done and attention to quality was evident - not too overcooked or too much flavour but letting the natural tastes of the foods come out. The most impressive aspect was the service. Timing of the wait staff was impeccable to make it seem that we were always a focus of attention without being overwhelmed and unable to carry out a conversation.
