“Great bar menu”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 18, 2013 via mobile

Big fan. Have had multiple meals here. Usually sit at the bar. Love their pizzas and small plates. Enjoy. It is worth the visit. Great location on the Boston Common near Boylston Street. Nice staff

“Good food. Nice staff. Loud atmosphere”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 4, 2013

The home-made pasta and risotto were definitely good. A bit pricey for such simple dishes (20$).
Staff was really friendly and knowledgeable.
But the restaurant was too loud! Electronic music was blaring out of the speakers and people were screaming on top of it.
Spaces between the table were too small, giving the impression that you're almost eating with your neighbors' table.

“Creative contemporary Italian dishes with flair”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 10, 2012

On a weekend visit to the theater district, we arrived at this beautifully appointed room with a group of nine. Service was attentive and responsive. We were given generous tastes of their featured wine. Both small plates and half plates were available allowing diners a full range of portions fitted to their taste and style. The caesar salad was quite good, followed by a half dish of homemade rigatoni and meat sauce. Friends in my party had the shells with lobster in a creamy butter sauce, while others had beautifully done thin crust pizza (apple/fontina/prosciutto). Wines are well-chosen to accompany the food. The setting is quite beautiful with a rounded ceiling painted with gold leaf figures - a lovely old building. I would return in a heartbeat.

“Good Food Great Service Lovely Place”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 27, 2012

I was taken here by friends who had been here before and recommended it. The food arrived
promptly and was superb. Three of us had the lobster Pasta dish which was filling . The wines were great and we demolished 2 bottles with gusto. It is definitely a place to go if you are
young . I was into people watching that night as it was a hive of activity and attracted all
kinds of clientele. I loved my food and would highly recommend it. I passed on dessert but
my friends shared 2 desserts.

“Always Excellent with great Boston Atmosphere!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 26, 2012

I have visited Teatro on several occassions and have always had a wonderful experience. A group of friends have made it a point to visit at least twice a year and catch a movie next door.

I have had my first experience with monkfish here and they served it as a piccata dish. It was excellent!

What is awesome about the menu is that you can get a small portion of items they are offering. I love to get the arugula salad half portion with the half portion of risotto.

Desserts are always wonderful as well especially the pannacotta!

Always available are an interesting assortment of "specialty cocktails" being offered that night. One night we went out to see the Sex In the City movie and the cocktails they were offering that night were named after the characters of the movie!

I highly recommend reservations!

Enjoy.
