There are so many good restaurants in town, it's hard to have an experience that really stands out. I thought the food was above average, but comparable to other places. The service was outstanding and the wine list reasonable. I also thought it was quite loud and just didn't offer anything that truly made it unique. It was fine and I'd certainly go back again, but had hoped it would be a bit more memorable.

Wow, everything we had was great - from the pastries to the eggs. Attentive servers too. The brunch menu has a great variety of upscale deliciousness. Look forward to returning.

From the moment we walked in and were greeted, our experience was a delight. Each dish was a flavor adventure and the number of amazing choices made it hard to choose which combination of dishes to go with. We went the 2 starter 1 entree route and its a good thing we chose that path. Portions at mistral are generous, we almost couldn't fit dessert in!

Our starter, the Steamed Black Mussels was a flavor explosion. I looked at my wife and said "Whoa" as she was saying "Wow". Smoky, creamy, the broth begging for bread to soak in...yum. Next we had the Tuna Tartare which lived up to the recommendation of our server, who by the way was very patient with our decision process and helped navigate all the great choices. Our entree choice, the Black bass with Seafood Paella was the perfect compliment to the first two starters. Our bass was buttery smooth and really melted in our mouths. The paella was also outstanding, a bit salty, but delicious. We finished with the warm apple tart which was flaky and just the right size and the dessert chef even added a little message to help celebrate our anniversary, which was a sweet touch! If you haven't dined here before and you are looking for a special place to spend an evening in Back Bay, make Mistral your #1 choice.

Went for the first time and had brunch at Mistral. Sticky buns are worth the 10-15 min wait. Fantastic food, great atmosphere. Good location. Would definitely go back to try dinner.

Went for the first time last month and I am in love with the beef tenderloin, mashed potato pizza and I choose to sprinkle some chile infused oil OMG I cant wait to go back just for this. Went with a friend and choose to sit at the bar, the service was great very attentive. We deceiced to do all appetizers because it was so hard to choose. After the pizza we had the lamb lettuce with goat cheese, and lastly the truffle macaroni. Presentation of all our choices was beautiful.
