I love this place. The wait staff is friendly and attentive. Try the crab cakes, they are phenomenal. Have been here on many occasions and have never been disappointed.

Had the seabass with Lobster ravioli. Excellent! Tender, rich, yummy, on a bed of spinach. The French bread is also to die for. Server was very helpful with suggestions.

They always seem to be busy. The first night I stopped in the anticipated wait was 40 min and the bar was packed already so went to Vinny T's instead. (The bar and cocktail tables are full service as well.) Later in the week was able to get a table right away but it became very busy soon afterwards. If you can plan in advance or have a bigger party, reservations would be helpful.

This is my favorite seafood restaurant in Boston. While I enjoy Legal Seafoods, I think the Famous Atlantic manages to outdo them.

It starts with the bread, a small loaf of doughy bread, still hot from the oven. Appetizers are typical stuff. The seafood entrees are superb. Atlantic does a great fillet of sole. They also serve an excellent steak (similar to Abe & Louies).

My last visit was typical: fast, pleasant service. Perfecly-cooked fish and red bliss potatoes. Yummy.

The location is a plus and minus. On the plus side, it's right in the middle of everything. The Prudential Center is right accross the street. On the minus side, driving in this area is aggravating. On the green line it is between the Hynes/ICA and Copley stops.

I enjoyed this place tremendeously. Their website fooled me into thinking that this is a whole-in-the-wall family eatery. It's not. Infact, it's a very formal place to eat with waiters who offer first class service to their patrons. We ordered the following:
Appetizer: Jumbo Lump Crab Cake
Surprisingly good. Made mostly of crab meat, which made it all the more enjoyable unlike the other places who put less crab and more junk in the food to fill up the volume. Wasn't cheap, but well worth the meal.
Main Course 1: Baked Stuffed Shrimp
You end up getting 4 shrimps baked and stuffed with crab meat, corn, and other goodies. Soft and tender, not too much oil or sauces, it was to perfection.
Main Course 2: Captain's Platter
3 pieces of Fish and Chips made from Fresh Cod, 4 fried shrimps, 3 pieces of fresh scallops fried, and clam pieces also fried. The scallops were to die for, since they were tender and juicy unlike my local restaurants here in California, and the cod was good for the fish and chips. It could have been fried a bit less since there was some oil still dripping from the cod.
Our bill came out to be about $35 a person including tax and tip, but well worth the experience. Will go again when I get to visit Boston in the near future.
