“My favorite Restaurant”
Reviewed April 2, 2014

though I live in the heart of NYC, this is BY FAR, my favorite restaurant in the U.S. If you're looking for fancy...FORGET IT. If you're looking for great, home-made Italian Sea-Food, THIS IS IT.
Price is reasonable.

“Good seafood, not enough vegetables or tables.”
Reviewed March 31, 2014

Great restaurant with a great atmosphere. Nothing but seafood, but all well cooked and fresh. Menu is quite light on vegetables though - would have been nice with the squid ink pasta alfredo to have some greens, as it was a bit tasteless and bland just being a plain cheese sauce.

Very small, so be prepared to wait outside. It was about -8 when we went, but we only had to wait 5mins. Any longer and we would have had to leave. It's good, but not worth hypothermia.

“awful service”
Reviewed November 27, 2013

The food was very good once the waitress brought my friend what she ordered. However when the bill came, she had charged us for both the wrong entree that went back to the kitchen and the correct one. And then she spent 15 minutes going back and forth between ua and the register (and someone there?) trying to get us to pay part of it in some convoluted way rather than simply making out a correct bill. She told us no manager was on the premises. When she finally brought the right bill she acted like "now are you satisfied?" It was hands down the most bizarre experience in a restaurant I have ever had. There are scores of terrific seafood restaurants in Boston. I suggest avoiding this one. I certainly will.

“Great Seafood in Beantown”
Reviewed November 8, 2013

We have been here before. 20 seats in a 25X40 room that includes the kitchen and a staff of three. We had freshly made squid ink linguine with ground squid, monkfish marsala, calamari meatballs, salad, and broccoli. And some chianti. There is zero affectation and at least a 45 minute wait. Go.

“Good with room for improvement”
Reviewed November 2, 2013

We had dinner looking for good sea-food and fish place. Most of the dishes were fine, some we could tag as "chef experimentation...". The service attitude can be improved. Location is great, and overall we enjoyed the evening.
