I knew from the start that Scali wasn't the place for me! But i stayed and tried it because a friend of mine said, lets stay, it maybe good. I went there a couple weeks ago. Well, I took 1 bite of the pancake! Uhhh, I still have nightmares about it. The pancakes were as soggy as a clean sock ducked into some cold water. Then, I tried the apple juice. I'm sure that the expiration date was like 6 yrs ago! Next time, Im our in the neighborhood, I'll be sure to try some new place to eat then this junkyard of a restaurant! Next time, I'm picking the restaurants!

During our trip to Boston a few days ago, we decided to save some money and try somewhere new for breakfast. The concierge at our hotel recommended Scali, for a good breakfast at a fair/cheap price. My attitude was don't judge by looks, especially a new place you've never been before. So I didn't. However, when we walked through the door, I noticed the food scraps consisting of ham, egg, and other unknown foods on the table. It was obvious to me that cleaning up after a party was foreign to them. And that wasn't even the worst part. When we got our food, I then saw why the concierge recommended a CHEAP restaurant! The omelet I had was terrible. The mushrooms were obviously canned and it was way to cheesy! Now, we all know it's hard to mess up toast, but they did it! It was floppy, not toasted, cold, and disgusting! The butter for the toast was as hard as a rock and because the toast was so cold, the butter refrained from melting onto the toast! It was the poorest excuse for a breakfast I've ever had. My sister ordered pancakes, which matched the rest of the breakfast: terrible! They were rubbery, tasteless, and, to use her words, FAKE! My mom and dad both got omelettes which in turn tasted like dirty socks and the potatoes or should I say fries were vile! In a nutshell, if you want a good breakfast, try McDonalds. If you want a horrible breakfast where the price reflects the quality and presentation of the food, try none other than Scali!

Great breakfast. great buy in Boston. this is definitely a locals hang out. It is one of those cafes that if some one hadn't recommended it you might pass it by. Our hotel valet sent us and it was worth it. The food was diner food but good. But a best buy for your money! $4.49 for bacon, eggs , pan fires and toast.
