Description: The signature dish at Legal Sea Foods - really fresh fish. Enjoy ocean-side dining just steps from the New England Aquarium. Our restaurant couldn't be more convenient to the Financial District, Freedom Trail, Faneuil Hall and waterfront hotels. We think a visit to Boston must include a meal at Legal Sea Foods. Legal Sea Foods has long proven that a consistent, high quality dining experience never goes out of style. With over 40 varieties of fresh fish and shellfish available throughout the year as well as an award-winning wine list, there's no doubt why legions of fans have fallen hook, line and sinker. We've received a boatload of accolades including "Most Popular Boston Restaurant" (Zagat, 2011/2012), "Best Seafood Restaurant" (Improper Bostonian, 2010), "Best Chowder" (Boston Magazine, 2010), "Best Seafood Restaurant" (Boston Phoenix, 2009) and the honor of serving our legendary New England Clam Chowder at every presidential inauguration since 1981.

This place is great.. not the best seafood i've had in Boston (i like the Summer Shack place new Alewife) but the lobster is pretty good.. Throw in a Sam Adam's light and some grilled tuna, and you've got a really great meal..

The clam chowder is pretty good.. and reasonably priced, but i've had something just as good at Quincy market.. But still, you're at a sit down restaurant so i can sympathize for the higher price.

Lobster prices have gone down signficantly to such a low that some fisherman are not bothering to catch lobster anymore, so why is "market price" still quite high? In any case, i take it boiled, with a bit of butter and some lemon sauce. which was great here and it was perfect..

Yummy all around!

We ate here for lunch...a bit pricey for lunch but very good. This was reccommended by our tour bus driver and he was right, it was worth the trip and the cost. They have a wonderful menu selection of seafoods to enjoy from the casual Fish & Chips to Lobster Tail.

I walked around the pier and spotted Legal's which always is good in other cities that I have tried, so I figured that it would be true for Boston. It did not disappoint. I had a fish grill that had grilled shrimp, scallops, tuna, salmon and swordfish and all five were great. Throw in some Sam's Summer Ale and a 70 degree night on their outdoor dining area, and it was perfect. My server had a great personality. I would recommend this for sure.

The food here was okay and the atmosphere was nice but not worth the price when you have so many other places to choose from. Oysters in the half shell were fresh but our lobster bisque soup was very runny and the rest of our food, well lets just say this was our least favorite place out of our week trip! Ask the locals where to eat, they will usually guide you in the right direction!
