Perfectly cooked lobster and reasonable choice of beer. Stay away from Burger and Fries, as kind of disappointing. Nice spot and low key and friendly staff.

This restaurant does lobster and fried clams exceptionally well.
dinner one night was the fried clam plate as this was necessary not having visited boston for to long a time. Next day went back for lobster lunch as it would be a while before being back in Boston.
Food was freshly prepared with tasty appropriate sides.
Excellent food and service.

Magnificent place to eat.. Excellent service to start with, they gave us a table with a beautiful view ocean very good advice. The food, Omg!! We started with the most delicious and tasty clam chowder we ever tried. Then fried calamari.. So fresh, lightly breaded. For entree had halibut fillet that was more like a flaky chunk. Really good. And the cod sandwich was great also flaky. Hmmmmm good. Good way to be introduced to New England !!!

We were pointed in the direction of the Boston Sail Loft by a concierge at the Marriott Custom House, and we are SO happy that we asked her.

This small restaurant seemed to be full of local residents rather than tourists, which is always a good sign. The ambiance was rustic and the views over the harbour were great. We sat near the street so we got to watch Boston walk by as well.

Our waitress was kind, friendly and knowledgeable. She was quick and efficient and we never had to flag her down. She anticipated our needs and was always on top of things. We were there for lunch, and it was fairly busy, so we really appreciated the top level service.

We both decided to have the lobster lunch special - a pound and a half lobster with the choice of salad or mussels as a side. I opted for the salad, as I do not like shellfish or seafood - but when in New England you have to have a lobster, hence my choice of food. My friend ordered the mussels and was shocked to see a mountain of them under her lobster when it arrived. The lobster was delicious, even though I generally don't like seafood, I ate every morsel of it. Even my seafood-loving friend raved about how delicious her lobster and mussels were. The best part, all of this food was only $20 each!!

I would highly recommend travelers have a meal at the Boston Sail Loft, you get the same quality as the more expensive restaurants for a much better price!

We found Boston Sail Loft Restaurant by asking a local where we could find good seafood at a reasonable price. We were not disappointed. They have a great menu selection, great views of the water and the service was some of the best we had while in Boston. I'll put it this way we went back on more then two occasions as we knew the food would be good, the service great and they made us feel like our business was appreciated.
