We didn't want the fast food on offer in Quincy Market and looked around for somewhere we could sit down and eat quietly. Seeing Joes on the horizon, we walked across towards Commercial Wharf to take a look at the menu and noticed the Boston Sail Loft Cafe just beyond. What a great little discovery we made. It looked a little small, from the outside but it stretched out on the inside - rather like a long railway carriage. We had a window table by the water and were served by a friendly and helpful waitress. The chowder was absolutely delicious and so was the half turkey sandwich with fries that accompanied it. We didn't eat the lobsters but they looked fantastic. This place was a little gem and a real find, an oasis beyond fast food emporia. Definitely on the "will return to" list for our next visit to Boston.
