Description: Barking Crab is a landmark Boston seafood restaurant celebrating our fifteenth season. Located on the Fort Point Channel in Boston's Seaport District, The Barking Crab features fresh crabs, lobsters, and day-boat fish brought in each morning. We feature traditional New England fare served in a funky urban clam-shack setting. We have a full bar including over 15 regional micro brews, cocktails, and an approachable value-priced wine list. We are family friendly and a short 2 minute walk from the Boston Children's Museum. Other area attractions include the Institute of Contemporary Art, Harpoon Brewery, the Harbor-walk, Boston Convention and Exhibition Center, and Boston's Financial District.

This restaurant was only steps from our hotel and our bellhop highly recommended for us to go here so we did and got fish n chips. I come from a town where fish n chips is our thing, and I can tell you these were astounding good. It's a little on the pricey side but well worth it. I really enjoyed that it was an entirely open place right on the river. It was a little noisy but it added to the character.

My friend and i had clam chowder(yummy), boiled lobsters(decent) and stuffed cod with crab meat and lobster sauce(delicious!). All in all we found it to have average food. Spent 75dollars there.

You only go to the crab for fresh seafood. It is based in a tent right on the river, so heating can be an option. Looked like the best options were the lobster and fresh crab etc. they do good mixed platters which you can share of course. It's right on the river. We took the day special of crab stuffed cod, which was okay if a bit pricey. In hindsight i would definitely go for the fresh seafood platters or the lobster, whilst not cheap, they are impressive. It's a pretty basic place but that's part of it's charm, don't expect the prices to be basic as a result because you are getting super fresh produce. I'm glad we went for the experience, wouldnt have rushed back the very next day, but worth going to once. NB it looked super busy at the weekend, filled with families. We went on a Tuesday lunchtime when it was quieter. My one complaint was that my $9 glass of wine was pretty small and came in a plastic cup

We ate at the Barking Crab on the recommendation of someone we met in Boston.

The food was fantastic and the atmosphere was really lively, especially given that it was a freezing cold Tuesday night!

Service was quick and friendly and overall the cost was good value for money.

Hopefully we will get to go back someday.

we had good service but our food was just average. Mind you we didn't order lobster, but over cooked mahi and a mediocre seafood platter did us in. I Will say the crab cake appetizer saved the day for us. All in all, not a good $100s spent.
