“Chinatown/Boston: East Ocean City Beach St. Boston”
Reviewed September 22, 2013

This is the best and freshest Asian food you'll ever eat! There are huge fishtanks at the door with the fresh fish; so when you order, the fish is scooped out of the tank right in front of you. The service is great. There are pictures on the menu so you know what to order and the choices are numerous. We had the Hot and Sour Soup: Peking Ravioli: Garlic Salt Spareribs: General Tsi's Chicken: Shrimp with Spicy Thai Sauce: and rice. The waitstaff is extremely helpful. They also validate your parking for the garage right across the street. Truly the BEST!!

“Great Chinese”
Reviewed July 2, 2013

Located on Beach Street in the heart of Chinatown, this restaurant serves a large selection of excellent food at very good prices. Service was a little slow, but this place is always busy.

“A Seafood Feast”
Reviewed May 9, 2013

Graduation time in Boston is generally overcrowded, with restaurants booked days--sometimes weeks-- in advance. Fear not if you and your family can't get a reservation at one of the well known fish houses. If you like Chinese food and are willing to walk a bit, Chinatown's East Ocean City restaurant is a sure fire choice. A few days ago, we had a remarkable dinner including twin lobsters, soft shell crabs, clams in black bean sauce, spicy salted squid and pea pod stems at a reasonable price. Admittedly, the atmosphere is more cafeteria than Olde Boston, and the waiters may be a bit distracted (I have never tried the meat courses which previous reviewers found wanting), but the seafood is always delicious.

“Chinatown-could have been better”
Reviewed April 8, 2013

After going to see Blue Man Group we walked over to Chinatown.
East Ocean City restaurant has big fish tanks and tablecloths and lots of servers, but the portions were extremely small. No one was able to help us order. The garlic spare ribs were like flat pork chops. They had some flavor, but hardly what we expected.
The General Chow Chicken had about 7 small nuggets with a nice bunch of broccoli. We ordered the noodle basket with seafood which had a nice presentation, but filled with mostly calamari and only 1 shrimp. We ordered the chinese vegetables and received nice broccoli rabe, but no other vegetables were on the plate. We all left hungry. Never before in a chinese restaurant.
