I would really have to struggle to find anything wrong with this hotel. The bed was huge, comfortable and the pillows fantastic.

The location of the hotel is just right. One direction is Boston Common and the other is Copley Place and Newbury Street, another and you are at the Prudential Center.

Great hotel in Back Bay, Boston! Within walking distance to Copley Place & Fenway. Front desk staff was amazing; we arrived at about 1:30pm in the afternoon to drop our luggage off and knew check-in would not be at least until 3pm. However, after requesting an early check-in we were in our room by 1:35pm, a nice king size bed with a spacious room and clean bathroom! Would definitely recommend for a nice place to stay! Thank you the the front desk staff for superb service!!

My fiancé and I visited Boston and stayed here for four nights in July 2012. We arrived at 7am, the check-in process was fast and efficient. The rooms and beds were fantastic and the service was outstanding. It's in a great location, close to shopping, subway, Fenway Park, and within walking distance to all of the Fourth of July celebrations. We loved the bar/lounge downstairs, though we thought it closed too early.

I would not look at any other hotel if I went back to Boston, I honestly can not find fault with this hotel. The staff are so friendly. Everyone had a smile on their face and seemed genuinely pleased to see you. The rooms were spotless cant fault it one bit.

Being situated on James street, it is reasonably proximate to most of the areas of Boston which matter. Unloading and baggage management is efficient although car retrieval takes time as the garage is off site. Our room, a King corner room on the 3rd floor was exposed to traffic noise and was a little compact, although it did have fridge and safe. The bed was very comfortable and our request for an extra luggage rack was promptly fulfilled. Wifi is free and excellent. Breakfast is only a la carte but excellent quality. There is a very able concierge for tours and recommendations for dinner, etc.

Room Tip: As high as possible

I proposed to my now fiance on the flight up to Boston. We both had never been to Boston and we looked forward to visit the city. Upon arrival we knew this was going to be a great place. The classic beauty of this hotel is seen instantly. If you didn't know this hotel use to be the Police Headquarters. The restoration of the building is awesome because they kept the history while giving it all the modern amenities. Once entering our room (they new the occasion as I called a few days prior) they had a Bottle of Champagne delivered to us plus Chocolate strawberries and a special CONGRADS note. The room was very nice...we had the Luxury King. I suggest upgrading to that. The bedding was stellar, the room although not huge was very adequate. The size of the room was made up with the size of the bathroom. Large walk in shower with plenty of space plus water pressure and temp was great. The accessories in there including bathrobe and heated towel rack was great. Plenty of room definitely in there. The view was ok...we laughed because there is an office building that was right across the way...on one occasion my fiance forget to shut the curtains and needless to say when she got out of the shower....well....just remember to shut the curtains. LOL. The staff were great...remembered our names and were always ready to make suggestions and answer questions. The bar downstairs is very nice and make great drinks. Although we didn't spend too much time actually in the hotel besides resting and sleeping....I always looked forward to winding down there. Fridge, Nice TV, Great Channels, Stereo and CD player... all the things you need while in the room are there. I am not a big review guy and we aren't " Uptight" when it comes to places to stay but we want to feel like people care while we are there and we want to have a place that is "Nice" but not over the top. We found it here. We read reviews here and anytime you do that you read good and not so good. Well the good far out weighed the bad ...and I am happy they were right! So if you are just considering Loews Back Bay...don't consider book it.

Room Tip: Upgrade to the Luxury King..well worth it.

Booked this hotel and could not be happier. Staff friendly, service excellent, rooms lovely. First class hotel. Traveled to Boston from the. UK. Stayed two nights with our 4 year old. They made her feel welcome with little treats and puzzles. Free wifi and great location to see Boston with great malls just minutes away! Will be back!
