Nicole took great care of us. It was my birthday and we wandered downstairs after dinner at the Island Creek Oyster Bar. I am a scotch drinker and she is proud of her selection. A good match and a great way to end a wonderful evening. Thank you.

Came here with a friend on a Saturday evening. After a lovely meal at another venue I thought it would be nice to have a few cocktails here. We got to the venue and there was a queue. We were told it would be just a couple of minutes. Over 30 minutes later we finally got it. To put it in context there were only 3 groups of 2 in front of us. I wish they had been honest from the start and said it may take a while. However they told everyone who came in that it would be 2 minutes waiting. When we finally got in we were seated in cramped pair of chairs, they were comfortable but felt a little enclosed. We had to wait some time before the server came over, but that was to give us water. We then caught the attention so we could order and were asked for our ids. We showed our UK ids but they wouldn't accept them. Talk about not feeling wanted, so after making us wait to get in then sitting there for ages without being acknowledged they told us we couldn't order as our ids weren't valid. What a waste of our time, they could have told us this a lot earlier. It is worth noting I had been to this venue before and uk ids were fine then, clearly they didn't want us there and decided to make us feel unwelcome. If you are not from the US steer clear much better service elsewhere and they actually want your custom

On a snowy night or day, it's easy to venture from the Hotel to one of the restaurants, but you should realy try the cocktail lounge, Hawthorne. This cocktail lounge is so well decorated and well put together that it is probably one of the best kep secrets in Boston! Great menu items and some of the best cocktails we've ever had.

We stumbled across this as it was in the base of our hotel. Only stayed for a couple of drinks as we had a dinner booked, but we loved the place. Amazingly set out, great staff who spend time to understand what you like and the match the drinks accordingly. Has a real great vibe.

After struggling to find the venue as it's inside a hotel so not signed, we walked inside to a beautifully laid out venue. We were immediately greeted and taken to a table in the corner. Now the cocktail menu is fantastic, so many varieties of cocktails to suit all tastes. The other benefit of this venue is it's great for people watching, more of a side note but we found it entertaining. Clearly its a very datey kind of place in Boston.

Overall a great cocktail venue and I shall certainly be returning when I'm next in Boston.
