“Very First Hostel Experience!”
Reviewed January 22, 2013

My best friend and I wanted to take an overnight trip to Boston. We were originally looking at hotels but quickly found it to be very expensive and we didnt want to spend that much money for only being there less than 24 hours. I found this place and as we have never stayed in a hostel EVER we were hesistant but excited for first time in Boston. So happy we stayed here! Its close and walking distance to everything you want in the Back Bay, Chinatown, Theatre District, and very close to public transit. I like that they had activies going on everyday (Saturday night is club night) so it was easy to make new friends. I would for sure stay here again when I come back to Boston!

Room Tip: If its your first time in a hostel (especially as a woman) choose the 4 bedroom dorm only females.

This hostel is amazing. We had a private room so it was like being at the hotel at hostel cost. The room was very big and clean and the hostel in general is very quiet. There are a lot of common areas and activities set up to enjoy the best of Boston. The location is the best you could find. The kitchen is incredible! Everything is designed to make your stay as comfortable as possible. They even give free cookies and earplugs ;) We would definitley return there.

Having travelled North America for 3 months, HI in Boston was by far the cleanest hostel I stayed in. This is of course due to how new it is, but it was a welcome change to some of the dodgy places I stayed along the way.

While it is pricey compared to most other hostels, its on par with the rest of the cheaper accommodations in Boston.

But best of all...........free cookies at the reception desk, winner.

This hostel is well located, clean, great service and the price is very fair for what you get.

We were able to walk to all the top sights, and there was a good pizza place and Chinese restaurants nearby. It's also killing distance to the south station if you continue on by train or bus to other parts of the USA.

The star were so nice to us and helped us out.

It also felt very safe and we felt our belongings were secure.

There were towels and sheets provided. The showers were also great.

We loved it!

We stayed in a private en suite room and were really happy with the room and hostel. The room was exceptionally clean and well equipped with modern facilities such as automatic lights and stereo/alarm system with ipod connection. Bathroom was a good size with plenty of towels provided, not something you often find in a hostel. Didn't use the kitchen to cook, only for breakfast which was great. Bagels, toast, cereals, yoghurt, coffee and cakes all available. Location was good, the street itself is average but it is easy walking distance to downtown boston, boston common and newbury st. Also be sure to do the Freedom trail tour, well worth it!

The rooms are great and very private for a six bed room. The beds position makes one person the least disturbing to another.
The common areas are great and let you meet people.
Everything is very clean and organized.
The location couldn't be better. There is many things you can do on foot. And the most important: it's close to the subway. You can go anywhere and reach the airport in minutes.

We stayed here for 2 nights this summer. We found the hostel no problem. I don't remember it being too expensive. We stayed in a 6 bed room with 3 bunkbeds. All the facilities are very new and especially liked the fact that the bathrooms were not communal and with clean towels and a hairdryer.

You can help yourself to breakfast in the morning in the very modern kitchen and dining area, just make sure you grab something before the food runs out!

Staff were friendly and professional and there were even free cookies at the reception :)

I'd stay here again.
