Great location just up the street from the garden. Plenty of bars and restaurants within walking distance, and there is a cab stand in front of the garden if you have trouble finding one. Very good service.

My husband and I took a trip to Boston for good food and good baseball before our daughter is born. We chose this property for the location and amenities. We were not disappointed at all. The staff was fantastic; very friendly and welcoming. The weekend was cold and rainy but the hotel provided an umbrella which was very helpful. We were able to walk to Faneuil Hall and Marketplace every day for tours and food. It is very close to the Italian district too. We did not rent a car but did not need one with two options for the T less than two blocks away. I would not hesitate to return to the hotel even with kids or in the future on a couple trip.

We stayed in what was as big as an apartment. I was amazed at the quality of the room. The bathroom was very small, but with as old as the hotel is, it is to be expected. The accommodations are first class here. The food is also very good in the restaurant on site. An easy walk to sites around town. We had a great stay.

Once we worked out to head in the right direction the hotel is ideally situated to explore Boston. Staff on reception were helpful with maps, directions and emergency sewing kits! Breakfast was paid for as part of our package. When went down took and seat and checked vouchers which said speciality items were extra. It was set out like buffett so helped ourself to cereal and toast etc. Then presented with a bill. When queried it was told hot things were extra. Not what the card said and when pointed this out got a blank look and bill thrust at me. Queried at reception who said the cards told us, which they didn't although they did refund the charge. Next day presented the voucher and waited for person to ask what we should have. Were told pastries and fruit and cold things. So cereal ok? Told no, then told could have it. Toast okay? Only cold things. All a total fuss of confusion. Don't mind paying for breakfast but had already paid for it in package so bit annoying. The whole breakfast thing needs reorganised. Maids kept catching us on the way out asking us if we wanted the room done because if we didn't she wouldn't. Bit awkward, although perfectly nice when we said yes please, but got a bit tiresome being asked every day. never came across that before.

Five of us stayed in a room with 2 double beds for 2 nights. The hotel was very nice and very clean. The rooms were decent sized but because of fire code rollout beds were not allowed. The bathroom was very spacious. They have breakfast but it's a little pricy and there's a Dunkin a block over so we opted for that. About 5-7 minute walk to Quincy Market and super close to TD Garden. Would recommend!

Seriously it is unsettling to open an armoire and find multiple pairs of women's dirty underwear in clear view-ie obviously the maid doesn't check these spaces out. Dirty clothes on top of the complementary yoga mat which can't be that clean either....it seems so obvious to open an armoire to check as a maid that I wondered how dirty the floor and shower was too...called the concierge to advise them to have the maid remove them before the next poor soul enters the room and she said 'oh great, thanks' and when I checked out 15 minutes later and told the other woman, neither we're as embarrassed as they should be....so my question is-how often does this happen that it is a casual occurrence to the front desk folks? Guys-you are ambassadors for the hotel!

Hotel needs to tighten up some service issues clearly for $400 a night-yeah for a one star I would expect this but not from you, and don't be so casual about it!

This is embarassing and I can assure you heads will roll on this one. We take cleanliness very seriously here and this does NOT happen here, EVER. I am so sorry that you experienced this and assure you that it has already been addressed. Thanks for the feedback.
