If you're into night photography, this bridge is a good subject. The architecture and the lighting at night would make this bridge postcard-worthy! :)

What more can you say? it did a great job of keeping my car out of the water. At night it is illuminated a bright blue. It's quickly becoming an iconic symbol of Boston, even though it's construction was quite controversial at the time.

Walk from Fanuel Hall Marketplace over to the North End across the Memorial Park and you can see the bridge as well as the TD Garden...beautiful!

Neat design, replaces an ugly bridge. It was the least expensive part of the Big Dig, and was not designed until well after the Big Dig was underway. The result -- a bridge that works well and that looks cool.

The bridge is hard to miss, but to gain some insight into its constuction walk along the river behind the Spalding Rehab Hospital and check out the superbly built landing under the bridge. Placards tell the story about the construciton and the man for whom the bridge is named. For bridge afficionados it's a good place to visit.
