“Functional location a bit far away from the downtown / breakfast needs improvement”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 16, 2014

A good hotel that basically offers whatever one needs to spent a few days in Boston in a comfortable place. Nothing special but nice, clean and reasonably big rooms. Two disadvantages - not really close to the heart of the city - you definetly need a taxi to get there or you would have to walk to the underground station over the bridge - not a very beautiful walk. And the breakfast was a catastrophe, particularly for some folks who paid 600 bucks for their room (i even heard people complaining) - for that money you get some basic stuff from plastic plates - honestly even in the US you can expect something better than that. All in all - if there is a convention in the city and shortage of hotels and if you manage to get a good deal - a good place to spend time in Boston. If you want to go out at night - calculate taxi fare into the room price

This is a great hotel in a great location! The staff was very friendly and check-in was quick. The hotel is relatively new and it showed. The lobby and rooms were clean and in great condition. We stayed in a one bedroom suite and it was decent sized, a little smaller than some other Residence Inn's, but a great size for the price and location. On a map it appears to be a long way from downtown, but it is located right next to the Navy shipyard and "Old Ironsides". There is a walkway through a park that crosses the locks in Boston Harbor and brings you out right to the Boston Garden and North Station (subway). From there you can either walk to the Faneuil Hall or the financial district (about 15 minutes or less) or hop on the subway and explore the city. The breakfast was pretty standard for RI (in a good way) and well stocked. The parking is a little expensive in the hotel lot, but if you get lucky you can find free parking nearby. I would highly recommend this hotel.

I travel to Boston frequently and stay primarily in Marriott or Hilton Properties. I thought I knew them all...until I found this one. And I'm glad I did. This property is walking distance from a number of important landmarks most notably, the Boston Garden, Ole Iron Sides (the U.S.S. Constitution), the Freedom Trail, and Faneuil Hall. It is clean, practically brand new, and the service is outstanding. I highly recommend this place for business travelers and tourist alike.

My wife and I stayed here last month on Points. I'm a Platinum member and was given a great upgrade without asking to a corner suite overlooking the Harbor. Made my wife's weekend. Location was great, just a short 10 minute walk across the bridge to the North End. We walked each night over the bridge for dinner. No taxi necessary (unless getting around is a problem). It's also right on the freedom trail and a stones throw from the USS Constitution, a must see. Boston is very walkable and we walked all the way to and through the parks, but enjoy just slowly making our way through town, stopping for a coffee or at a pub along the way. It's a much better value than staying at one of the "downtown" properties if you want to be close to the North End.

The breakfast was great, and the hotel was very clean and nice. Cabs are always out front so getting around is easy and convenient, when not walking. Stayed 2 1/2 days and it was perfect.

I had the opportunity to stay here while my father did a course at Kennedy School of Government. Stayed for 2 months and must was amazing...the staff was friendly and being a vegetarian I was even provided with separate vegetarian dishes when the main course was non-veg...loved the chocolate cake and the nachos...the rooms were nice, clean and spacious and the housekeeping staff very friendly often giving complimentary microwave popcorns' multiple packets. The location is brilliant with the underground close by and grocery shops close by too in case you want to whip up something in the kitchen with the apartment.

Arrived early (before 10AM). The rooms were ready. Lady at front desk was really friendly, she explained all the parking options. Got lucky, got a space next to the hotel on the street. Free parking in Boston !!

They even offered us free breakfast after check-in, but we had plans to go to Paramount on Charles St. We had breakfast at the hotel the next morning and it was OK.

The room was comfortable. We had a view of TD Garden from our room, but traffic noise wasn't bad.

Easy walk to and from the game. A great choice. Would come back.

This is a great place to stay if you are a long stay traveler. Kitchen is small but totally useable. It beats having to eat out every night if you are staying for a year like we are. The location is very nice and you can walk to the North Side for Italian or to the Commons for Shopping and the park. There is also a Whole Foods in walking distance for groceries. Charleston has the historic Constitution and other cool sites and walks. All in all a nice place to stay. Staff is nice but not a interactive as some of the other Marriot locations I have stayed.

Room Tip: If you have allergies or asthma like my wife the 5th floor has the Pure rooms which have hypoallerge...
