We had a room that faced the Massachusetts turnpike and the back side of Fenway Park. There was no noise from the traffic (no light noise since it's December and there's no baseball). The extremely quiet rooms and room darkening shades mean you will never know what time of day or night it is when you're there. On a snowy night or day, it's easy to venture to one of the restaurants in the hotel, or to the cocktail lounge, Hawthorne. This cocktail lounge is so well decorated and well put together that it is probably one of the best kep secrets in Boston! Great menu items and some of the best cocktails we've had in a while.

What a great hotel! Perfect location, convenient to many things in Boston including Fenway, the best hospitals, Common. The room was gorgeous, well decorated, high-end, large. Great attention to detail, staff were awesome, attentive, responsive, and very polite. The Oyster House next door can't be missed, amazing food and drinks. We loved our stay here and will be staying again soon! We won't stay at another hotel in the city again, nothing could compare.

Room Tip: The suites are phenomenal! A regular room is great too, but if you can go for the suite, do it. It's worth it.

A quick one night in Boston , found the Commonwealth in my budget (under $250.00) check in smooth, polite and informative. The restaurant in the hotel had great food and staff, and in the freezing cold it was great not to have to leave the building.
Room was clean bed comfy and nice soap shampoo ect in the bathroom.

Ok two little things that bugged me. If there's a mini bar in the room please have it full, also a plastic laundry bag is a must and it's annoying when it's missing.

All in all great place would definitely stay again.

Our second stay, for the same purpose of going to a "Frozen Fenway" hockey game in Fenway Park in January. How crazy is that? The hotel was great, clean and very friendly. We stayed on a bed and breakfast plan and had breakfast at the adjoining restaurant which had an interesting brunch selection, which our entire group (about 10 for brunch) enjoyed. The service there was great. The hotel is a bit more expensive than some others around, but the proximity to Fenway, the staff, clean rooms, great valet service all make it an enjoyable stay. I also really appreciate that the rooms are very quiet. No heating/air conditioning noises, no hallway noise, and very little street noise, just an occasional siren, that is somewhat 'off in the distance' sounding.

I attended a work function in Boston this week and spent two days at the Commonwealth Hotel. First, the location in Kenmore Square is wonderful! lots to do within walking distance and just around the corner from Fenway Park. My room was beautiful, the staff attentive the meeting room was outstanding and lastly the food was excellent. In short every aspect of my stay could not have been better. As my work has me staying in Hotels 75-100 days a year I have a great perspective on the hospitality industry and I can say that my stay at the Commonwealth was the best. Our group will be returning as often as travel has us in the Boston area. I highly recommend this hotel for
