“Comfortable stay”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 26, 2013

My stay at Hotel Commonwealth was one of the best. Courteous and helpful staff. The room, pillows were very comfortable and very convenient to public transport system. If I have to state negatives, then that would be handling TV and internet. They could provide a list of TV stations and connecting to internet is pretty complex. You would not know when the internet will work after obtaining a public IP address. Despite these negatives, I will stay here if I get another opportunity to visit Boston.

I had stayed at the Commonwealth a few years back and recently found myself in Boston again for work and my assistant booked me here.

Though the name rang familiar, I somehow forgot how much I truly loved this property. Not only is the hotel stunningly classic and modern, but the service is unsurpassed. Couple those with a great location (Fenway and BU so close) and you have a real winner.

The service was truly top notch and I want to recognize the following great people who made me feel like royalty for the 2 days I was there: Corie (front desk, saved the "turn down" day, went above and beyond), Corey (front desk, extended my stay and has a great trademark snap/sense of humor), Nadege (housekeeping, has the best attitude and the highest quality standards) and Z (doorman, made getting to/fro the hotel a breeze).

I look forward to my next visit and offer the staff and management team my highest compliments.

This is one of my favorite places to stay in Boston. The staff is always friendly and helpful. This visit we were upgraded to the Baseball suite. It was wonderful. There is so much memorabilia and books to look at. I enjoyed it so much. Im looking forward to bringing my grandson to a baseball game and hopefully to be able to stay in this amazing suite.

This is my 2nd time staying at Hotel Commonwealth and once again, found it the service, rooms, food to be excellent! The rooms are very nicely furnished with beds/pillows/linens - top end :) The front desk/etc is very accomodating / etc.

We usually stay here when in Boston. The hotel tends to be on the quiet side in our experience and the location can"t be beat as you have read. This visit we were upgraded to a very large suite and my only complaint was the room was not as clean as you would expect from such a quality hotel. I found old corks and remnants of somebody's past partying on the floor in plain view so one would question the eyes of housekeeping. On the positive side when we thought we had lost a wallet in the room the mananger himself came up to help us look. He handled what could have been an awkward situation very professionally.

Front of House staff first rate - Bags went in a flash and Reception checked me in just so. Commonwealth Room on 3rd Floor very large and comfortable. Location, location and location! Metro is next door and myriad eating places within 150 yards. Very good (but expensive) Restaurants 'in house' especially the 'Oyster Bar' - but this is Central Boston, always expensive for us poor English. Just one thing, if you intend doing the 'Freedom Walk' suggest you take the Metro to Boston Common - it's quite a way from the Hotel but appears close on the Map!

I spent two nights in Boston for work related visit mid may.

On arrival i was greeted with a smile and quickly checked in and given a key to my room. My room was spacious and clean with a great view of Fenway park, handy on game day! The location was great, with the Jet-Lag i was up early and able to go for a run along the river and take in some of the sites of Boston and Cambridge. Great Room, Comfy bed, friendly and helpful staff, and a perfect location.
