There are half a dozen pizza places on Washington St between Brighton Center and Oak Square. I've eaten at 5 of them, and the Proper Slice is easily the best. Their toppings are creative (sopressetta and cherry peppers, bacon and potato), the guys who work there are friendly, and the pizza is always delicious. Don't be put off by the slightly higher-than-usual prices -- with huge portions, you more than get your money's worth. An order of fries ($4) served me and my gf, with more leftover for lunch the next day. The Proper Burger is obscenely big. Also, it's stuffed with cheese and crusted in bacon. This is the best pizzeria I've found in Boston -- I hope it sticks around!
