How fortunate we were to discover this tour company! We had rented a car to tour Boston ourselves, but after experiencing the traffic volume and the confusing roads, we parked it and began searching for a guided tour. In one of the Boston guide books, we found unique touring company. We saw the pictures of the antique limos used and decided to spring for it, just the two of us.
The Tour Guide, Mark Solomini, a native of Boston's Italian Community, picked us up at our hotel and took us on a complete tour of Freedom Trail, with many stops along the way. Since we took the "extended" tour, we visited the Harvard Campus and stopped off at Fenway Park for a tour of the Bleacher Bar under the center field bleacher seats and all of it magnificent memorabilia. He then returned us to our hotel. Along the way of the tour Mark demonstrated his unique knowledge of Boston folklore, showing us many sites not included with normal Freedom Trail tours, including where Ocean's Eleven was filmed, the smallest street in Boston, and other interesting sites. The tour took 2.5 hours and cost $250 for two (up to six) people. A 1 1/2 hour tour cost $150. We chose passenger option one, but other options were available. This is the only way to see Boston. Mark was such a good guide, we tipped him 20%.
