“You Get More Than You Paid For”

We were visiting for a few days and wanted to experience as much culture as possible. We stopped one evening in China Town and spotted The Q. With a quick Google search we decided to give it a try. Glad we did! The menu was a little overwhelming, but the waiter answered all of our questions. This place was the Chinese version of the Melting Pot, but better! We cooked at the table and had a spicy broth, vegetables, and sirloin beef. I don;t eat meat, but there were so many vegetable, including: mushrooms, spinach, tomatoes, onion and bock-choy- I didn't need a separate meal. We enjoined seaweed salad and miso soup before the main course, both delicious. They greatest part was the check! During the day, 3 of had lunch at an other restaurant and that bill was more than 4 of us that had dinner. The only piece of advice I have is that the food is hot, but so is the restaurant. All those table top cooking units make it hot!

“good sushi”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 20, 2014

We went for the sushi and had 2 rolls that were fantastic, but the noise, the service, the disgusting washrooms drove us out there before we could order anything else. The place looks like it's high end but it's almost more of a cafeteria. Shame, because the food is good....

This place was amazing! The food was delicious and honestly one of the cheapest meals we had in Boston. We would absolutely go back!!!

“Best Hot-Pot”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 4, 2014 via mobile

Try the spicy broth hot pot with lamb-beef combo with udon noodles and you won't regret it unless you don't like spicy food in which case you can substitute it with one of several other broths they offer. The taste is fabulous, veggies are fresh, great experience. Sushi is yummie as well. Remember you can call 30 min ahead to get on the list, otherwise you may have to wait for a long time which is still worth it! Parking is validated $7 for four hours

“Holy HOT POT!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 28, 2014

My wife and I were advised to go to Q by the concierge at the Hotel W. We intended to get sushi and thank goodness the manager ( super nice and helpful) steered us towards our first HOT POT Mongolian broth meal. You pick the broth ( we picked semi-hot and normal) and they bring a large pot spilt in middle with a broth on each side and place it on the hot plate in front of you. The broth comes to a boil and they bring you raw meat and seafood. The filet was thinly sliced and you place the meat in the broth for about 6 seconds and it cooks it for you. dip in sauce and WOW! what a taste. Shrimp, flounder, mussels, scallops, squid, beef and lamb! Super great service and food. I will go back next time in Boston.
